Decision Height

Winner of the 2013 Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival New Play Award

by Meredith Dayna Levy
presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., New York.

The Westborough Players’ Club is excited to announce auditions for “Decision Height” by Meredith Dayna Levy. This historic docudrama is a story about friendship and the complex, though essential, role of women in wartime. Virginia Hascall has left her home and fiancee to become a Women Airforce Service Pilot (WASP), and do her part to help defeat the Axis powers in the Second World War. Through triumph and tragedy, she and her sisters in flight suits learn as much about themselves as they do about airplanes. As the war rages over there, the women form a sisterhood that cannot be broken, and Virginia must make a decision that will change her life forever. With a cast of nine vibrant female characters, Decision Height offers a look into an under recognized subset of American heros and revises history into herstory.

Auditions will be held on Sunday, August 6 from 6:00-9:00 PM and Monday, August 7 from 7:00-10:00PM at the Harvey Building (20 Phillips St., Westborough, MA). Audition material will be provided and no preparation is necessary. Rehearsals will begin on Friday August 11 and will be Sunday and Friday from 7-10 pm through September, we will add another weeknight that is within casts availability starting in October.

Performances will be at the Willows of Westborough (1 Lyman St., Westborough) on November 3, 4, 10, & 11 at 8:00 PM with a matinee on November 12 at 2:00 PM.
